SONASCREEN® 2

Acoustic Thermal Imager for Preventive Maintenance

Experience the new generation: The SONASCREEN® 2 sets new standards in hardware, performance and usability. The acoustic camera with thermal imaging function comes with more microphones than any other, an optimized array, new specialized modes, and an updated user interface. With its market-leading number of 176 microphones, the innovative device enables the detection and precise differentiation of the smallest sound sources, even when larger ones are present.

Advantages at a Glance

Most sensitive camera: 176 microphones with 200 kHz for capturing the lowest acoustic signals
Audio converting: For precise monitoring of the visually displayed ultrasonic signal
Wide frequency range (up to 100 kHz) allows detection of ultrasonic sources above typical industrial noise (typically up to 50-60 kHz)
Fast: real-time acoustic results and visual representation of defects
Detection of fast moving sound sources due to a high resolution of 100 fps and global shutter function of the camera
IP 54 / protection against water and dust: encapsulated microphones suitable for industrial use
2-in-1 device: combination of acoustic and thermal imaging
Intuitive: Different modes with preset settings for intuitive operation without extensive training
In-depth recording and analysis: The only camera on the market that allows further processing of the recorded raw data

SONASCREEN® 2 – Acoustic Thermal Imager for Preventive Maintenance

The SONASCREEN® 2 acoustic camera generates acoustic images from the audible and ultrasonic frequency range. It localizes sound sources using beamforming and visualizes complex acoustic information as an acoustic photo or video. Thanks to its intuitive and updated user interface as well as preset setups (e.g. for leak detection), even inexperienced users can correctly evaluate the results at a glance. With its high dynamic range and the real-time visualization of defects with 100 frames per second, the SONASCREEN® 2 is the most advanced acoustic camera on the market, while also being simple, intuitive and fast.

Meanwhile the device does not only let you see, but also hear the otherwise inaudible ultrasound emissions of damages and faults in industrial plants or electrical systems: In addition to the visual results, the camera provides acoustic feedback via a hearing protection headset, so the user can quickly locate sound sources in their surroundings visually and evaluate their acoustic characteristics at the same time. The built-in IR module allows the combination of acoustic and thermal imaging, which enables a deeper understanding, as well as a more comprehensive diagnosis and analysis of recorded events.
